A complete overhaul that returns tired original sash windows to smooth, draught-free operation - preserving the character of your period property rather than replacing it.
Restoration goes further than a spot repair. We take the full window in hand - overhauling the box frame, renewing cords, weights and pulleys, splicing out rot, easing and re-balancing the sashes, and renewing ironmongery - so the window works as well as the day it was made.
Wherever possible we retain and repair original timber and glass, which is both more sympathetic to a period property and often required in conservation areas. Draughtproofing and a fresh, factory-quality finish complete the work.
Every property is surveyed in person. We advise honestly on whether restoration or replacement is the right route, and we never recommend replacing a window that is worth saving.
