Three non-original casement windows returned to traditional timber sashes, in keeping with the building's original architectural style.
A previous refurbishment at Chesham Place had replaced the original sashes with casement windows. They were out of character with the elevation and with the terrace either side of it.
We removed the non-original casements and manufactured bespoke single-glazed sash windows to match the historic profiles and detailing. Nothing was approximated: the sightlines, glazing bars and box frame proportions follow the originals.
Heritage glazing, sash cords and ironmongery were integrated in line with conservation requirements, and the finishing was worked to blend seamlessly with the surrounding façade.
Completed in May 2026. From the street, the windows now read as though they were never removed. Which is the point.
